In May 2023, One Linlithgow business improvement district (BID) installed a range of signs on benches around the town. The signs are labelled to indicate to people that they are happy to chat with anyone else sitting on them.
One Linlithgow in partnership with The New Well, Linlithgow Community Development Trust, Burgh Beautiful, Linlithgow & Linlithgow Bridge Community Council jointly bid to West Lothian Council for funding to install the plaques.
The plaques have been installed in eight locations around the town including the Cross, Learmonth Gardens, the West Port, Peel, Vennel, near the community orchard at the Loch, St. Ninian’s Road and Beecraigs Country Park.
