Funded by local businesses through a levy, a Business Improvement District or BID works with the local authority to help deliver a wide variety of projects and services to help improve the local economy. Voted through a renewal ballot by local businesses in 2024, One Linlithgow Ltd is the BID for Linlithgow and the surrounding area. During its 5-year term, it will be responsible for delivering the projects and initiatives agreed by businesses and outlined in the 2024-2029 Business Plan. The Board of Directors sets the strategic direction of the One Linlithgow BID while the One Linlithgow team is responsible for project management and general administration.
In late 2028 and into early 2029, a further renewal ballot took place for businesses to decide whether to continue (or not) as One Linlithgow Business Improvement District until 2034. The ballot resulted in a Yes vote.
The current BID term will end on 30th September 2029.
